Biscuits and gravy are always my go to breakfast and BJ's Kountry Kitchen hits my hungry spot.

Ordered takeout for 3. Food was packed well and ready when I arrived. All 3 orders were correct and hot. This is a go to breakfast spot for us. The food was delicious as always.

What a delicious breakfast we had at BJ's Kountry Kitchen. We had visited the Christian bookstore across the intersection. It was a nice also seeing that this was a Christian business with Scripture on the walls! What a surprise to see families actually eating together... something we remember from the past that happens less and less these days because of the expense. And here is the unique part, not only was the food delicious, the service incredible, the restaurant roomy, but the pricing was super accessible. I can sometimes get claustrophobic in restaurants that are too packed. I hate loud music and not being able to hear people at a table... it was just the opposite here and the large windows also opened it up. It was also nice mixing up the occasional breakfast routine and discovering a new place. This was a day I would do some damage and so I ordered the country fried steak with hashbrowns and gravy. "GRAVY" is kind of a trigger word for me! lol It's not something I have a lot of but when I do, I am going to indulge.. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptionally good. Our server, Christina, was so pleasant and authentic... so present and engaged. I'm thinking that I might swap her out for a family member... :) The food came out quickly and was better than you might expect at one of these places. As is my habit, I enjoy taking the time to recognize excellence and feedback to people about what I find remarkable or outstanding in their service. And I do that with the most humble of things like the guy making the key at the hardware store, or the plumber coming to the house. If you are exceeding expectations and going above and beyond... you WILL be noticed and appreciated! And that's when I take that time to encourage them. It's kind of a crime not to. And so I asked if I could also take her picture to include it in some of my reviews.... I was given permission. I also met the owner whose name I don't recall... likewise, authentic and loving. This business really cares about connecting and putting out quality food at a reasonable cost. They ARE reflecting Christ in their work... How refreshing! Thank you, Lord always for your bounty! We're so privileged to be able to eat out occasionally and what a blessing this place was. In way of encouragement to you, please keep up the good work! For those of you who have not tried it, you'll want to check them out! I just hope that we are NOT competing for resources, the GRAVY! -G

The food is very great, and I am particularly impressed by the integrity of this business and the owner and staff. I dropped my wallet while having breakfast with my parents at this restaurant in the morning, I later called the restaurant that same day when I realized that I did not have my wallet. I was retracing the places that I had been to and, thanks be to God, I called BJ's Kountry Kitchen and my wallet was found there! I am immensely thankful and grateful that my wallet remained where I dropped it and it was returned to me in the same condition that it was in originally. A special thanks to the man who gave me back my wallet, thank you very very much! I will continue to go to this restaurant with my parents and we will give them repeat business regularly! I pray that God will give special blessings to the owner, staff, the restaurant, all customers, and everyone involved in this business! May God always bless you all! With respect to food, I had the sourdough melt with fries, my mom had the strawberry Belgian waffle, and my dad ordered the prospector omelet. It was all very tasty! The service and ambience of the restaurant is very good as well. Thank you, peace and blessings to you. Sincerely, Jarrett

I'm gonna be honest, I entered this restaurant in full "haterade" mode. The outside is gray with a small vinyl business sign that says BJ's Kountry Kitchen. The inside design is something that my grandmas', grandmother would have in her kitchen, but I'm not eating the decor so let's move on. The portions are pretty big here and the food is actually really good for a greasy spoon diner. I ordered the chicken fried steak with a side of biscuits and gravy. (give me all the gravy!) My piece of chicken fried steak was huge and the gravy that topped it was delicious. It was greasy, salty and just what a growing boy needs to start his day. The eggs were mid, as the kids say, and so was my fruit cup. My wife got the tri-tip and eggs and she was a little disappointed at her four pieces of tri-tip instead of one large single sliced chunk. I did try her tri-tip and it was very tasty. All-in-all the food was actually really good and reasonably priced. With our two coffees, breakfast orders, and an extra side of biscuits and gravy it was about $50 with tip. Sadly, that's a reasonably priced meal for two these days. This place was busy when we got here and it was a Friday at 8:30am! The service was amazing and after I shook off my initial snobby attitude, I found this place to be a cozy surprise. Maybe next time we'll bring the kiddos and let them enjoy some old school dining.

This is a family-owned and operated restaurant corporation with this quaint diner cafe being the original location. The menu is full of comforting, no-frills breakfast dishes - many of which are accompanied with their popular "kountry" style potatoes, hotcakes, and biscuits and gravy - in addition to burgers and sandwiches served during lunch hours. They are widely appreciated for their warm hospitality and great service. The mornings get packed with loyal patrons ready to enjoy a good, hearty breakfast before the lunch crowds come in. I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, along with the kountry chicken fried steak. The size of the chicken fried steak - which comes with your choice of potatoes, toast, muffins, or biscuits and gravy, and eggs prepared any way you like them - and the serving portions are quite impressive. While the biscuits already looked like they were broken apart, they were still airy and flaky. The country-style white gravy is what made the dishes good. It is well-seasoned with a peppery essence and still warm minutes afterward. There have been some mixed reviews about the inconsistencies with the food and service over the years. The recent change in ownership seems to have corrected this and seem to be doing the right things. They have kept the interior the same, which helps in keeping with its charm. But better management puts the focus on customer service - the dining area was clean and well maintained and the servers were very friendly and attentive - and some changes and additions to its menu items have seemingly revived the business and attracted new customers. Open 6 A.M. to 2 P.M. Monday to Saturday. Closed on Sunday.
